About Atonement Preschool:

Lutheran schools have said, "Let the Children Come." Over the past 7 years, many children have come to Atonement Preschool to learn. They have learned about numbers, letters, sharing and social skills. They have also learned that they are God's beloved children. We would love to have your child come to our Christian preschool to learn in an environment that encourages faith, morals, honesty, trust, respect and responsibility.

The following comments are from our parent's survey sent out January 2005.

• Have been very pleased by the variety of activities and things our daughter has learned.

• The staff is very open to discuss my child's progress and interests.

• The field trips are great.

• Setting is clean and orderly yet approachable and accessible to children.

Preschool Openings...Openings are filling up fast in our fall classes, so if you plan to register, please do so soon.  We will be making class and teacher assignments based on the number of children registered, so the earlier we get the information, the easier it makes our jobs!   

    For 2005-2006 we are offering the following class options:

Option 1: Two-day-a-week classes for 3 year olds. Tuition - $90.00 per month.  Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 - 11:30.  Children must be 3 by September 1, 2005, and be toilet trained.

Option 2: Three-day-a-week classes for 4/5 year olds. Tuition - $110.00 per month.  Classes meet Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings from 9:00 - 11:30.  Children must be 4 by September 1, 2005, and be toilet trained. CLASS  FULL

Option 3: Two-day-a-week classes for 4/5 year olds. Tuition - $90.00 per month.  Classes meet Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 12:15-2:45.  Children must be 4 by September 1, 2005, and be toilet trained. CLASS FULL

Meet the staff:

Kathryn Young - Preschool director	Hello! My name is Kathy Young and I am in my 6th year of activity with Atonement Preschool. I have been on the Guidance Board, served as the Board Chairperson for 2 years, and am now entering my 3rd year as Preschool Director. I live in St. Cloud with my husband and two children, Riley -9 and Shuler -6, both alumni of Atonement Preschool. I am looking forward to another great year!
Sarah Funk - Preschool teacher	Hello! I am Sarah Funk and looking forward to a new year of teaching at Atonement Preschool. I live near Buckman with my husband and 3 children. my degree is in Child and Family Studies from St. Cloud State with a MN teaching license in birth-5. I have been teaching Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes for the last 8 years as a Child  Educator. I truly love the curiosity of children in preschool as they discover something new each day and I'm excited to be teaching in a Christian environment.
Jody Silbernick - Preschool teacher	Hello!! My name is Jody Silbernick and I am the new preschool teacher at Atonement. I am very excited to be here and can not wait to get the school year off to a start. I have a degree in Applied Psychology and Child and Family Studies. I have worked in different centers for 10 plus years and have also done In-Home family Counseling. Last year I had the opportunity to fill in as the assistant teacher in my sons preschool class and realized that PRESCHOOL is where my heart is. I live in Sartell with my husband and two sons, (Zach-10 & Connor-5). Twelve short months ago, I was in your shoes, ready to send my child off to Preschool. I truly believe preschool is a wonderful opportunity and stepping stone for children. It is a place to learn how to respect others, be part of a team, follow rules and to find self confidence. I look forward to meeting you and your child and watching their growth in the upcoming year.  Jody
Judy Maus - Preschool assistant	Hello!! My name is Judy Maus and I am beginning my 4th year as a Preschool assistant here at Atonement Preschool. I enjoy working with and spending time with my preschoolers very much! I'm looking forward to another great year in Preschool. I enjoy golfing, cooking, and spending time with my family! I reside in west St. Cloud with my husband and five children, (Rob-15, Rebecca-13, Paige-11, Jackie-11 and Steven-8).
